Nahalekeha Community Aiea

The 29-home gated residential community at the top of Pearlridge is a tranquil and secure neighborhood that was established in 1987. With the majority of the residents being owners, many of whom are original owners, the community exudes a sense of pride and ownership. The peaceful atmosphere and tight-knit community make it an ideal place for those seeking a quiet and safe place to call home. The well-maintained properties and the sense of security provided by the gated entrance create a desirable living environment for residents. Whether looking to put down roots or seeking a peaceful retreat, this residential community offers a welcoming and secure place to reside.

NAHALEKEA BOARD CONTACTS

Your board has been in discussions with BWS about purchase over last two years.

An attorney has been hired to support us in land sale negotiations during this time. An independent appraiser has been hired by your board to determine fair value of land by end of June 2024.

Any sale of Nahalekeha common property requires all Owners and Lien Holders to agree to a sale.

On November 20, 2023, the Honolulu Board of Water Supply (BWS) officially proposed to purchase 2.484 acres of unused Nahalekea property above the pavilion for $242,000. This land is intended for use an exploratory well and may potentially become a production well to replace those closed due to Red Hill fuel leaks.

If Board cannot obtain 100% owner approval to sell, we believe BWS will proceed via Eminent Domain, where court action is taken allowing the purchase of land for common good.

Security gate access is controlled by LifeMaster Security Gate Keypad.

o Residents have the ability to grant access to family and guests through directory phone calls or a Personal Identification Number (PIN) assigned by the resident.

- Temporary Guest Pass PINs can be generated for vendors, contractors, friends, etc.

- All PINs can be easily deleted or changed if they are compromised.

- Commercial-grade, motion-activated cameras monitor the entry/exit gate, front entrance, and the start of Onikiniki Place.

- The video footage spans 2-4 weeks of activity, varying with the frequency of camera activation.

- "No Trespassing" signs are posted at both gates and along the perimeter of Onikiniki Way to deter hunters and inform others that it is private property.
